Ray
Guitar has always been a chaotic constant in my life. I played in a few bands around SG in my teens, left to study at Souza Lima Conservatory in Sao Paulo, Brazil for a few years and then ended up in a music performance degree programme at London College of Contemporary Music. After that, I came back to SG and worked at Aureus Academy and Etonhouse for another few years and have been teaching private lessons since.

At your home or my homestudio
Lessons are usually 30mins, 45mins or 60mins with rates going from $50-$90 per lesson, depending on location and duration. I teach ages 8 and above.
Fundamentals can be fun too
Feel and hear what you play
It can be hard to feel mentally present, living in a stressful and hectic city like Singapore. Rhythm and aural drills are very meditative and grounding and also help improve your musicality. I try to include these activities in every lesson along with the songs we are learning.

Repertoire
I teach mainly contemporary music. Soul, r&b, rock, pop and some bossa and jazz standards. Students usually learn melody, rhythm parts and guitar solos and play arrangements with me.

Harmony and improvisation
For those who are interested in theory and harmony, I can help with understanding chord construction, application of scales and arpeggios so that you can apply them to your improvisation or song writing.
